One primary goal of Playhouse 44 is to avoid any barriers that prevent people from enjoying our cultural events. Ticket prices for some of our events are more affordable than those of any other performing arts group, and many of them are FREE. An unofficial motto of ours is
‘If someone can’t afford to see what we put on, what’s the point in doing what we do in the first place?’
However, it does take funding to keep our group going. There are many expenses involved in running an active not-for-profit organization. We have had the financial support of some local companies, but continually need to supplement that with donations.
